Thanks for the extensive reports! This seems to be a bug in ecasound.
I'll try to reproduce this myself and see what is going on inside the
engine. The end of the year is always busy time at work, so it might take
a while before I have a chance to debug this. In any this is a release
critical item for 2.3.3.
