[ecasound] neteci dificulty

Hi!
  I have a problem. I wanna script ecasound to perform a few recording jobs in
succession. For this I have to load and connect new chainsetups and then
launch the engine and then connect ports.
  I use something like this:
echo -e "cs-load my.ecs\ncs-connect mycs\nengine-launch\n" | telnet localhost
2868
  I see:
ecasound:in_1
ecasound:in_2
ecasound:out_1
ecasound:out_2
  but can't connect them afterwards. jack-connect simply tells me:
engine sampling rate 48000
cannot connect ports.
  What wrong here? Anyone any ideas? It's very frustrating... :-)
