sure. There's no hard limit on the number of channels in ecasound, and
the limits of most file formats are really high (for instance RIFF .wav
files support upto 65635 channels). And you can always write to a raw file
and have virtually unlimited number of channels. If you want to process
these in real-time, your disk i/o capacity will set the upper limit.
