RTFM huh? Still, it's only a compiler.. how much crap you gotta read... maybe those JAVA developers were actually onto something with their processor independent notions (Just kidding! Java developers couldn't really have been onto something good in my opinion)

Yeah, if you happen to know how to write makefiles for the lowest common denominator!!

I gave up on caring about makefiles when I noticed that our cleanly developed makefiles didn't cover when our header files were modified but not our .c files - causing some spurious effects!

Anyhow, I'm trying to develop "Geek Effects" (g-eca-effects) - a guile/gnome/GTK GUI for ecasound for realtime effects processing.

It should be cool! I've got it working to some degree :). I'd like to program it in with effect presets combining multiple ecasound effects... also filter out some unneccessary crap (blips when u turn on certain effects in ecamegapedal and volume problems and metronome effects and stuff). That and the effect parameters have slide bars for your mouse and numerical text boxes (where you click and put the number in) that work together... (I was trying to make my "phaser" and "echo" match integral multiples of periods with only sliders on FX Box for windows)

Overall, just saying Hi! If you haven't, check out FX Box for Windoze... it's quite impressive sounding!

Cheers, Dan Lyons
