Your internal sampling rate is still 44.1 khz, use -sr:96000 to match
your I/O objects. Look in the list archive if you wish to know why the
resampling is noisy, it came up a few times...

Make sure you run make uninstall and get rid of old object foles.

Now that's weird, it would seem some check or other fails. Are you sure
your alsa installation is sane? What does config.log say about it?
