There is no better ground than the developer of ecasound using Emacs :-).
Now, while doing my modes, I came over some little questions I would like
to raise:
1. In ecasound-ewf-mode I provide a interactive function `ecasound-ewf-play'
for playing the current .ewf file. Currently, I simply invoke
ecasound with -c to be able to e.g. forward or rewind in that playing
session.
While doing this I figured it would probably be useful if ecasound had
an additional command-line argument which indicates that playing should be
started in interactive mode immediately. This would avoid workarounds for
now, and is useful for general use IMHO.
2. What is the best way to complete the following things:
a. presets: Should I look for the global and user specific files and fetch
the possible completions from there (for -pn e.g.), or is it planned
to provide such info through some kind of map- command?
b. ALSA pcm devices. Is this even possible?
c. LADSPA plugin names and plugin ids.
Apart from that, I am happy about every little piece of input I can get,
especially features wishes. So dont hesitate to tell me what you'd really like to be able to do.
