Subject: [ecasound] -i:alsa format?

Hi,
I've been wondering what I could specify in -i:alsa
When I was using alsa 0.5, -i:alsa,1 chose the 2nd card etc.
but with alsa 0.9, that behavior seems to have moved over
to -i:alsaplugin,1
What is this pcm thing that the manpage mentions,
and how would I know the pcm name ?
This has been boggling me for a while...
thanks,
junichi
