It's like a raw interface for audio input/output. You have to do things,
that are normally handled by libasound. You get more control
(sample/frame accurate), and you can optimize for special use
cases. From ecasound's POV, this isn't very interesting.

Less work, reuse of already debugged libasound functions, works with
all ALSA supported hardware...
