Hi,

I got it to compile, but I am now looking for some type of loopback device
in OSS, or the ability to write with correct timing. I have multiple
machines here spread all over the house and they use IP multicasting
technology so they can all play the signal. The receivers all join the
"well-known" multicast group, (well well known to them anyway) while the
selected sender sends to it. There are multiple "well-known" groups so
that different machines can pick up different input sources.

It just so happens that the computer running ecasound is nowhere near my
work area, so if I am working on a segment, I cannot hear what I am
working. I can feed a named fifo off to the transmission program, but if
ecasound sends at faster than real-time, I get overruns on the receiver,
and I spike the bw used on my ethernet hub. Do you have suggestions?

Thanks.

Jeremy
