Hi everybody,

I've been using Ecasound + Jack on OSX for quite some time, and Ecasound +
alsa on Linux. I'm trying to get Ecasound + Jack going on a Linux box &
have run into a problem that's driving me nuts.

I'm starting jack like this:

[root@email-addr-hidden-sj-new ~]# jackd -d alsa -r 44100

I get this:

...
JACK compiled with System V SHM support.
loading driver ..
apparent rate = 44100
creating alsa driver ... hw:0|hw:0|1024|2|44100|0|0|nomon|swmeter|-|32bit
control device hw:0
configuring for 44100Hz, period = 1024 frames (23.2 ms), buffer = 2 periods
...

However, when I do this:

ecasound -i /audio/320/1001.mp3 -o jack

I get this:
********************************************************************************
* ecasound v2.9.1 (C) 1997-2014 Kai Vehmanen and others

It appears that ecasound isn't talking to my existing jack daemon, but
rather is starting a new one with the default of 48k/32bit, which of course
is going to be mismatched with my mp3 file.

Any suggestions?

thanks
