[ecasound] Virtual Sound Card

Is there a way of using ecasound with an alsa loopback device to create
a virtual sound card. I note that alsalp is no longer allowed as a
ecasound input. I have an application, kodi, where the audio output
cannot be rerouted on the command line, but I can route it to the alsa
loopback device.
