[ecasound] Integers feeding Alsa/Drivers?

Hi folks.

You might have heard about people implementing "Integer"-mode into OSX audio
applications
- the ones that go after highest quality playback. And that's pretty much
the intention behind it.
I'm talking about Pure Audio and Audirvana.

What it means is that those applications feed integers instead of floats to
the drivers
to avoid integer float conversions on the driver level. They move that tasks
into
user-land. People talk pretty positive about that new strategy.

I'm wondering how it's done with ecasound towards Alsa?

Cheers
\Klaus

BTW: Has anybody been working on full file RAM buffering for ecasound?
