Hi again!
Just a short word, before I have to dash: You might try a newer jack. I run
a slightly patched jackd 0.112.0. But later versions are available and they
fix the problem I had to patch.
If you only need to find positions of the MIDI file to know when to do what,
you can do it in several ways:
1. either use rmidish to run them, it displays measure/beat and you can get
tempo information. Using this info, you can easily calculate times, you could
write a small script or program to convert this information into real time.
A second solution would be to use ecasound/nama and playback the generated
wav-files and in nama set marks, in ecasound just give getpos.
   Hope that helps.
   Warm regards
             Julien
