Re: [ecasound] trimming silce from within an audio stream

   As you said: I don't think it's possible. I've worked with ecasound for
quite a while, but didn't come across that feature.
   About the announcement of the time when it happened: If such a possibility
would be integrated into ecasound, the only thing ecasound could do, would be
to print out messages, a kind of statistic.
   Still I'd suppose it would be dificult to integrate, for this is really new
behaviour, not writing to the file at all while the engine is still running
and position is still moving along. Several problems/questions of behaviour
for some commands must be decided and tested.
   But that's only my oppinion based on the little knowledge of programming I
have.
