[ecasound] beginner's question

It seems that I have some problems to understand the basic concepts of
ecasound. That is what I thought should pan my signal to the right,
but only plays the same mono output on both channel

./ecasound -i:jack_auto,Cog -el:encode_bformat,0.0,1.0,0.0
-el:bf2stereo -o jack_auto

encode_bformat encodes a 1 channel input to 4 channel ambisonics b-format
bf2stereo decodes 4 channel b-format to 2 channel stereo

2 channel input => 1 channel : 4 channel => 4 channel : 2 channel => 2
channel output

What am I doing wrong?
