Hmm, I couldn't reproduce this. For instance:
sh> ecasound -i playat,15,tone,sine,440,10 -y:15 -o alsa -ea:30
Starts playing a sine tone immediately, while with:
sh> ecasound -i playat,15,tone,sine,440,10 -y:15 -o alsa -ea:30
... you get the 15sec silence at start.
This with the pre2 version.
