[ecasound] there is a bug with ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy gibbon) amd64 release of ecasound . Was working in 7.04

Hi,

This probably will be of interest for other x86_64 users of ecasound on
ubuntu.

The bad news is that something is broken in the gutsy ((7.10) version of
ecasound, which was working in feisty.

The level analyze option -ev does not work. No error messages.
