When recording with:
ecasound -x -d -b:128 -r -f:32,2,48000 -i:jack_auto,qsynth -G:jack,eca_slave,recv -o /tmp/record.wav
The output file is opened with offset 0 then the transport is stopped pending a start via jack:
(audioio-db-client) seek /tmp/record.wav to pos 0.00.
When I push the qjackctl 'play' button, everything is started but there is now an offset in the output:
(audioio-db-client) seek /tmp/record.wav to pos 31.37.
Is this the time between starting ecasound and pushing the 'play' button?
Can this be eliminated.
Thanks for any help.
