yup, I agree. I'll try to come up with some option to control this
behaviour in the next release.

? :o Ctrl-c has always been a supported way of terminating ecasound. It
will result in a controlled shutdown (for example wav-file headers are
updated before closing, connections to servers are closed, ...). So IOW if
it doesn't work, it's a bug => let me know about the details.
