Hi,

I have the following alsa devices running:

0 intel8x0
1 ens1371
2 ens1371

Since a kernel recompile (2.4.27 on gentoo, I added a SATA driver),
the intel8x0 device records only silence. The other two continue
working. Before the kernel update, intel8x0 also was recording.
I can still access the card and can hear the input on master output
when unmuted, and I can switch the capture pointer. But recorded
files with ecasound only contain complete silence.

After kernel recompile, I also did "emerge alsa-driver" and
"modules-update". I'm puzzled by this since two days and can't
find anything wrong.

When I boot knoppix 3.6 with "alsa=intel8x0", I can record and
playback normally, so it must be some software/config thing.

Any hint anybody?
