Did this behaviour change some time in the past? It's just that the man
page for ecasound says:
-a:chainname1, chainname2, ...
Selects active signal chains. All effects, inputs and outputs
following this '-a' option are assigned to selected chains
(until a new -a option is specified).
And the examples page has an example of applying -ea: to 2 chains at
once...
I notice that ao-add *does* work with multiple chains.
Also, perhaps it would be useful to issue a warning if a command line
chain setup does try and do this.
