Hmm, what does 'ecasound --version' print out. If that's not 2.3.0, launch
ecanormalize with

        ECASOUND=/path/to/ecasound-2.3.0 ecanormalize foo.wav

... and also make sure ecanormalize is from 2.3.0.

Otherwise, I just tested the 2.3.0 ecanormalize, and it works at least on
my machine.
