It starts within the first minute of operations. It seems random in that
it is not predictable exactly WHEN the XRUN will happen.

and I noticed that if you try to feed ecasound like this

cat foo.raw|ecasound -i stdin -o jack_alsa,out

for the length of the -z:db default, that bit is lost forever, you have to
use -z:nodb if you want -i:stdin to work correctly, but only with jack
outputs.
