No, that was why i tryed from cvs

jep, this worked as with 24bit. aplay could replay the wav, but obviously no way to pass it to eg. /dev/dsp
What i tryed then is to use a named pipe and
do -o:/mypipe.wav so for instance aplay can read from
that pipe, but there seem to be some difficulties
regarding blocking.
