maybe someone heard of this (maybe very annoying) problem before?
when i playback wavefiles with ecasound (latest mandrake rpm)
using:
ecasound blabla.wav -c
-ei:74
t
(on a sb-awe32 (OSS-driver)
AMD Duron 800
fast IDE hd
under Mandrake9.1 lowlatency-kernel-patch)
i hear short "digital clicks" like from a "geiger-counter" (the ones
which measure radioactivity)
somehow everytime there is bass...
when i use "snd" and set the speed to 74 at the same volume level
there are no such clicks
i am pretty much sure that this is not clipping of the output-channel, because
the level is far below distortion...
i apologize if this topic has already been discussed...
