Yes, you can start ecasound with either -ev or -evp
(to moniter peaks). If youstar it with something like:
"ecasound -c --daemon -evp -i some.wav -o alsahw,0,0"
you can then run ecamonitor to display the info.
ecamonitor then display the volume info in real time
as ecasound is playing/recording etc. It would be nice
to have a graphic display, like ecasignalview, but
ecamonitor does work fine.
