apparently not ..

ecasound -b:4096 -i:alsa,default -o:test.wav
****************************************************************************
* ecasound v2.2.0-rc2 (C) 1997-2002 Kai Vehmanen
****************************************************************************
- [ Session created ] ------------------------------------------------------
- [ Chainsetup created (cmdline) ] -----------------------------------------
(eca-chainsetup-parser) Setting buffersize to (samples) 4096.
- [ Connecting chainsetup ] ------------------------------------------------
(eca-chainsetup) 'rt' buffering mode selected.
(eca-control) ERROR: Connecting chainsetup failed: "Enabling chainsetup:
AUDIOIO-ALSA: buffersize 4096 is out of range!"

and so on for anything bigger .. 2048 is the last buffer size of the
ones you listed that doesn't cause an error here.
