Unfortunately I don't. But ecasound should be suitable for this. The
interactive mode is still a text mode so if you have some device for
interpreting the text (how could you otherwise have read these mails,
even?), then you could do the following:

ecasound -c -a:1 -i:my_soundfile.wav -o:alsahw,0,0

t

(when it has come into a critical place, i.e. for clipping, then)

s

Now you have the chainsetup positioned so, that the position in seconds
can be read from the status-interpreting functions. The list of such
functions can be obtained by

h

After writing these things down, it is possible to use the editing
commands in subsequent calls to ecasound. May take some time to learn how
to do it, but not too much.

That really makes life difficult in some occasions. It is however
interesting, that the technology nowadays is so advanced that it has made
it possible for blind people to use computers, send and read emails and
browse the Internet. Which kind of helping equipments do you have for
computer use and how long have you had those.

I think that Kai Vehmanen, the author and main administrator of ecasound
can anyway give you the best advice for ecasound's command line usage.
