thanks for the long reply, very helpful. i will see what i can do with
the python code for my purposes, since from what you're saying, the
error only has to do with the display. so if it were less lines, the
error shouldn't happen (i think...i hope).

i will go check out those other plugin sites, but on first glance, the
plugins you mentioned didn't look very command-line friendly (i.e., they
appeared exclusively window-based). but i definitely dig the concept of
supporting community standards and am willing to give almost anything a
shot -- anything that will compile, that is, hehehe.

by "triggers", i basically meant "dynamic sequencing", for example,
"when n peak-level is reached, switch to input x" -- sounds strange, i
know, but what can i say, i guess i'm just weird.

"eca" is perfectly fine with me...i was actually hoping it was some
far-out Finnish concept! ;-)
