The first version is now in the CVS. You can run a short test by issuing
"make check" in ecasound/libecasoundc.

I've also changed libecasoundc versioning back to normal libtool style
(ie. libecasoundc.so not libecasound2.so.2). Interface version was also
reverted back to 1:0:0 because of this. Libecasound still uses the new
style. This wasn't actually an easy decision to make, but in the end using
different versioning styles seemed to be the best solution. The important
difference between the libraries is that libecasound interface will be
changed with each x.y release of ecasound, while the aim is to
keep libecasoundc compatible with old releases for as long as possible
(ie. the libc style).

Anyways, the next edi-28 related tasks:

- document ECASOUND env.variable (used to choose which ecasound
  executable is used for ECI)
- try adding well-formed output to ecasound-2.0 tree
- port pyecasound to use the new libecasoundc
- fix bugs
