I must admit, I had to check "ecasound -h" for -gr... only then I realized
that it's the custom gate you've implemented. ;)

This is normal. 24bit/32bit resolution in OSS is only supported by the
4front OSS drivers (www.opensound.com), not the kernel drivers (AFAIK).

Hmm, interesting. This is either a bug in ecasound or in alsa-lib's PCM
plugin layer.
