This is correct. Due to changes in the C++ compiler, code produced by gcc
2.95, 2.96 and 3.0 and cannot be mixed.
So it's better to recompile all C++ programs and libraries with the same
version of gcc that your Linux distribution is using (in Redhat 7.1 this
is 2.96).
