Subject: [ecasound] compiler testing

A few days ago Junichi sent me a patch for gcc3.0 support. One question
left open was how this patch would affect compiling with older gcc
versions. So I decided to test the whole gcc set. I downloaded and
installed the following gcc versions (straight from gcc.gnu.org):

- gcc 2.7.2.3
- egcs 1.1.2 (alias gcc 2.91.66)
- gcc 2.95.3
- gcc 3.0

2.7.2.3 was the only one I couldn't get to work. But I guess we can drop
support for these older versions now that 3.0 is released (2.7.2.3 was
released 22.8.1997).

I've just submitted the resulting changes to the CVS-tree.

PS Although I now have multiple compilers installed on my devel
machine, I will continue to use the default 2.91.66 (from Redhat
6.x rpms) as my primary compiler (= also used for building
   the distribution packeges).
PPS I still need to test qtecasound, ecawave and ecamegapedal.
To save time, I'll probably just test with gcc3.0...
