Hmm, you shouldn't need to use that small buffersize. Something like
-b:256 (or even -b:512) should be enough. In most cases it's the soundcard
hardware that sets the lower limit to buffersize.

Hmm, if you are suffering from long delays, try adding -z:nointbuf to the
command-line (this the default in 1.9dev6 and newer).

Btw; how are you monitoring the recorded signal?
