Ah, you're right there; using "-i ~/test.wav" instead of "-i:~/test.wav"
does solve the problem. Too bad, I thought using the columns made it all
clearer to read. :(

You're right. On a side note, it seems that ecasound allows files to
be added as input even though they don't exist, is this a bug or
a feature I cannot tell...
