Try "aio-add-input " ... tab-seach the file you want "[enter]" ... here's
an example session:
--cut--
###| ~ |$ ecasound_debug -c
****************************************************************************
* ecasound v1.8.3d15 (C) 1997-2000 Kai Vehmanen *
****************************************************************************
(eca-session) Interactive mode enabled.
ecasound ('h' for help)> aio-add-input /empty1/track04.wav
(eca-controller) Added audio input "/empty1/track04.wav".
ecasound ('h' for help)> aio-add-output /dev/dsp
(eca-controller) Added audio output "/dev/dsp".
ecasound ('h' for help)> aio-status
- [ Controller/Audio input/output status ]
---------------------------------
Input (i1): "/empty1/track04.wav" - [RIFF wave file]
-> connected to chains "default": position (0.000/0.000) seconds.
-> closed, s16_le/2ch/44100Hz, buffer 0.
Output (o1): "/dev/dsp" - [OSS soundcard device] [selected]
-> connected to chains "default": realtime-device, processed 0 samples.
-> closed, s16_le/2ch/44100Hz, buffer 0.
ecasound ('h' for help)>
--cut--
You'll find more info about ia-mode commands from 'man ecasound-iam'.
Btw; you can use tab for completing the commands, so these are about
as easy to use as plain -i/-o combinations.
