Hi there,
I have had the same problem with the OSS driver and Sound Blaster AWE 64
soundcard. I could play or read over /dev/dsp but not at the same time. After
installing the ALSA driver the problems has gone. Now I can play and record
at the same time with
ecasound -c -b:64 -r -f:16,2,44100 -a:1 -i part1.wav -o /dev/dsp \
-a:2 -i /dev/dsp -o new-track.wav
like described anywhere in the documentation. I use the same device for in- and
output.
