What version of ecasound did you use? This is important as
ecasound has changed a _lot_ during the last few months
(nearly 10000 lines of code since April!). Did any of the
threads appear to do anything (check with "top" or something)?
Another thing to try is to increase the debug level (with -d:5)
and see is happening...
