[ecasound] Configuration error from git tree

Greetings,

I'm making my first attempt at compiling from the git tree under Cygwin
(want to try out LV2). When I run ./configure it stops with the following:

checking for main in -lhistory... no
configure: WARNING: *** readline support not installed ***
./configure: line 18008: syntax error near unexpected token `LIBOIL,'
./configure: line 18008: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(LIBOIL, liboil-0.3,
HAVE_LIBOIL=yes, HAVE_LIBOIL=no)'

Thoughts?
