hello,
am trying to process some audio with an inverse gate effect.
that is, a filter which only allows the audio below a certain theshold
to pass (perhaps this has another name).
i thought that maybe i could just use a regular gate such as
-enm:0.8,10,150,150,20
then bounce the result down to a file - then mix that file with a phase
inverted version of the original to cancel out the common samples
this did not work for me (to invert the phase i muliplied the gain by
-1 in sox)
there must be an easier approach?
is there some negative value i can give to the normal gate filter to
make it work the other way around?
any ideas?
thanks
rob
