yep, this is how to do it. You probably should add '-z:mixmode,sum' as
well (sum, do not average, when mixing).

So how it works is:
   - clone the stereo signal to two separate chains
   - on first chains, mute right channel, perform EQ
   - on 2end chain, mute left channel, pass through right channel
   - mix the two chains (EQ'ed left plus passed-through right)
