Hi!
Yes I have an idea. Usually ecasound is in "avg" mode. That means the
formula for each track volume is:
trackvol = 100% / number_of_tracks
This is to have no clipping, when you mix all those tracks together,
provided that they all play at full volume at the same time.
If your tracks all play consequentially just add (at the start or beginning
of the ecasound options:
-z:mixmode,sum
If they only sometimes play together you might still do it and adjust the
-ea efects to have values below 100.
  For example:
ecasound -a:1 -i 1.ewf -ea:100 -a:2 -i 2.ewf -ea:60 -a:3 -i 3.ewf -ea:40 ...
-a:all -o out.wav -z:mixmode,sum
If your tracks are really normalised (perhaps even compressed), then it
might be wise to see to it, that, tracks which play simultaneously have
volumes that add up to 100.
100% is maximum everything above will clip your output. If they're not too
loud you can try raising values of your -ea effects. Usually I can do this,
when mixing single tracks.
  Kindest regards
        Julien
