[ecasound] fades in realtime

hello, this is my fisrt post.

I use the next chain setup to support a small radio in the méxico city,
the idea is, i have two chains:

'consola' that is conected to the line in of the soundcard, and
'interna, that serve to play sound files with alsapplayer or moc:
$alsaplayer -i text -o jack -d "ecasound:e_interna_3,ecasound:e_interna_4"
amparanoia/feriafuriosa/03-El\ destino.mp3

every thing go well, i can change volume modifiying with some scripts the
parametters of the -ea amplifiers. But now i want to do fades, and
crossfaced with the two chains, i try a fade in to 'interna'

ecasound ('h' for help)> c-select interna
ecasound ('h' for help)> cop-select 1
ecasound ('h' for help)> ctrl-add -kl:1,0,100,3

the controller is added, an i can view it with ctrl-status
but i dont perceive any change in the amplifiers.

¿somebody know a solution?
