[ecasound] another 2.4.4 snapshot (20051021)

Hello all,

the 2.4.4 is pretty much ready for release, but it'll
still take a few weeks to the release (mostly a question of
me finding some free time to do the release procedure).

But while waiting for the release, here's one more snapshot
with the few changes since 20050915:
