[ecasound] Ambisonics !?

Hi all,

I've only recently come across this wonderous program & so am newly
subscribed to this list.

While I have found the tutorials immensely helpful I do still have a
couple of questions.

Has anyone successfully used the ambisonic plugins, or know of any
documentation other than just being listed as plugins ?
Some working command line examples would be priceless as all I seem to
be able to do is create segfaults & noise.

Also, using Ecasound is it possible to create multi-channel .wav files ?
'-f:16,4,44100' only seems to work with .raw files, but it maybe a
problem with my command-line, which is:

ecasound -f:16,4,44100 -a:1 -i left.wav \
-a:2 -i right.wav \
-a:3 -i left_surround.wav \
-a:4 -i left_surround.wav \
-a:all -o test.wav

If it's not possible, then I think it would be a useful addition to
Ecasound.
