Could you test it on MacOSX and verify that...:
- "./configure && make && make check" works out-of-the box
- the above should also work when JACK is installed
If you encounter any problems, could you post the error itself plus
the summary of options printed by Ecasound's configure script (after the
text "Following packages are now configured:").
