The following generates silence -- all data is the minimum
possible value:

ecasound -d -f:16,2,22050 \
         -a:1 -f:s32_le,1,22050 -i amb1.wav -ea:.1 \
         -a:2 -f:s32_le,1,22050 -i amb2.wav -ea:.1 \
         -a:3 -f:s32_le,1,22050 -i amb3.wav -ea:100 \
         -a:4 -f:s32_le,1,22050 -i amb4.wav -ea:.01 \
         -a:1,2,3,4 -f:s32_le,4,22050 -el:surroundEncoder, \
         -f:16,2,22050 -o temp.wav

What am I doing wrong? I've tried various applifications and
input file formats, but I always get the same bad result.
