I don't use any text-to-speech software. So it's ok. You might want to have
a short look at my website. It's still under construction and I didn't have a
lot of time lately, but still... It can be found at:

Now your ecasound-question. I think you could add the following for output:
-a:all -f:16,4,44100 -o 4ch.wav
This would be the general format. -a:all means use output of all chains.
Then I don't know what you want to do with the single channels. You can use
the -erc option to copy a channel to another one. So:
-erc:1,3 -erc:2,4
would copy the front-channels to the rear channels. I hope it was the right
syntax. But you can look the -erc and -erm (channel-mixdown) in the manpage.
