I'll fix it in CVS soon.
If you move away your current ~/.ecasound/ecasoundrc it should
disappear.

Apt is indeed cool.
Which package did you install?
Visecas does not depend on GNOME as a whole but only on libgtk2 and
libglade2 + Ruby-bindings.
I guess you installed the ruby-gnome2 package?
I think this is a meta package which leads to lots of dependencies.
You could also stay with libgtk2-ruby and libglade2-ruby.
Well, actually I never used this repository since I installed from
sources so maybe I'm wrong.
