Attached you find a very simple Media-player based on pyecasound. It
works using ecasound 2.2.0 and stalls on ecasound 2.3.0. The Program
is quite small, small enough to sent to the list.
call the Program with
# test.py test.wav alsahw,0,0
that is, first arg is any wav file, second arg is the output device to
use.
Using above command with ecasound 2.3.0, the playback continues to
the end of the file but the python application blocks as indicated
above.
Here some informations about my setup:
o debian distribution
o python 2.1.3 (debian package python_2.1.3-3.2)
o ecasound 2.2.0
